Long Tail Traffic
Use Responsive Design
Do not even expect to be on the first page of the Google if you believe in the theory that link building is an outdated concept. If over time your site has acquired an average of 5 links per day, and then the links suddenly start to come in at a rate of 10 per day, that could be seen as a positive ranking signal. On the other hand, if the rate of new links drops to two per day, that could be a signal that your site has become less relevant. One thing’s for sure though, Google is getting smarter. It’s now much harder to take shortcuts or to pull the wool over its eyes and cheat your way to the top – you have to earn your place. Aside from on-site optimization and content marketing, the most important element of your strategy is your link building campaign -- otherwise known as off-site optimization.
How to optimize your website for mobile?
For Search Engines, backlinks help to determine the page’s importance and value (i.e. authority). Historically, the quantity of backlinks was an indicator of a page’s popularity. Google can’t depend on social media signals from platforms it doesn’t own and that are run by competitors like Facebook. Long-format articles in excess of 1000 words are the prescription for getting the search engines to see your content as something trustworthy. Originally devised as a way to combat comment spam, when a nofollow attribute is added to a link it tells search engines that your link to it isn't necessarily a "vote of confidence".
Boost Site Speed
Strategically written website copy includes well-thought-out internal links and calls to action. SEO isn’t a quick tactic that will suddenly boost traffic to your website; it’s a long-term commitment, Do not try to avoid no-follow links completely. These links may have value in improving your search rank. We asked an SEO Specialist, Gaz Hall, for his thoughts on the matter: "What would you type into a search engine to find your business website or page?"
Long Tail Traffic Is Hiding In Long Form Content
Quality content rules the digital landscape, yes — but what’s often forgotten is that even the best and most authoritative content needs to be built with the modern Internet in mind. A so-called website blocker is something that prevents search engines from accessing the site Most content creators go for the big, obvious one and two keyword phrases and ignore longer search phrases. Thankfully, less competition means fewer pages in the results, making it easier for you to rank highly. Google views your site as authoritative when other sites link back to it. It doesn’t want to see a site that is spammy linking back to your site. If you try and manipulate the system, you can get hit with a Google penalty and your site won't rank at all.
